Junior Team & Learn to Row

Junior Team & Junior Learn to Row - Sign up now for 2025!

Thank you for your interest in the MRC Junior Team! For more information, check out the Juniors Flyer and Parent Handbook!

We welcome high school students from around the Twin Cities entering 9th grade through those who have just completed their senior year. Our team is open to all, from new rowers to experienced rowers. We also offer learn-to-row camps for all ages and recreational focused programming for middle school students. All programming is under the oversight of the Juniors Head Coach, Vicki Larson, and Juniors Coordinator, Jill Cooper.

We seek to create a supportive and inclusive environment for all participants. MRC maintains a broad definition of gender that spans the spectrum of identities, including cis-gender, transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming people. At regattas, youth rowers participate in the gender category that aligns with their identity. For more information, please see the USRowing Gender Identity Policy.

We are proud of the development of our rowers, both on and off the water. Many have continued rowing in college, including the following schools: Bates, Boston University, Brown, Cornell, Dartmouth, Drake, Drexel, Hamilton, Holy Cross, Marist, MIT, Oregon State University, Radcliffe, Stanford, Temple, University of California - Berkeley, University of Delaware, University of Minnesota, University of Puget Sound, University of St. Thomas, University of Virginia, University of Wisconsin - Madison, Williams.
